The yummy manicotti David made for me Friday night
Saturday night we took a ride down to the Mississippi River
The river isn't too high down here yet. They still have the road over the levee open to get to the river.

Happy Memorial Day

Guess we can wait 'til end of summer when pools go on sale because Joanna didn't like her first swimming experience...
...but eating this marshmallow lollipop from Granny made it all better.
And for the rest of us there was homemade buttermilk ice cream.

Our Bus
Our Captain

A Generous Heart

On our way out to pick up kids every Sunday morning. The bus driver stops at a gas station to buy sausage biscuits and a drink for all the workers. He must spend close to $40 a week!!

These are his two children with him and Joanna.

Happy Mother's Day

David and I are both so thankful for the moms the Lord has given to us.

Our camping adventure

We took two days off and went camping earlier this month. It was a great time together ... our only regret was taking our dog Izzy who doesn't get out much!

While we were setting up the tent I sat Joanna on this blanket. I thought she wouldn't be able to eat and play in the dirt that way ... but she managed to pull the blanket up and get to it anyways. See the marks where she raked her fingers through the dirt.

We woke up early in the morning and walked 2.5 miles around Spring Lake.
No, Joanna didn't take this picture! We had the camera on a tripod.

This picture shows how Joanna enjoyed the hike.
